Our Story

Strawberry Wool Felt Fridge Magnet - Woobbi

It Started with a Needle and a Dream

Woobbi was born in Austin, Texas, a city with a deep love for handmade things and the kind of creativity that doesn't follow a rulebook.

It started small. Just a needle, a pile of wool roving, and an obsession with turning loose fiber into something with a heartbeat. Our first pieces were needle felted charms, tiny sculptures, and magnets, each one hand-poked into existence until a little bear emerged, or a cactus, or a wide-eyed creature that felt perfectly at home in your hand. We weren't trying to build a brand. We were just making things we loved.

Design and creativity weren't just part of what we did at Woobbi, they were Woobbi. Every charm had its own personality. Every piece was considered not just as an object, but as a small work of art. We believed then, and still believe now, that handmade things carry something invisible but real: the energy and care of the person who made them.

Watermelon DIY Wool Felt Magnet Kit - Woobbi

From Maker to Creative Studio

As word spread, something interesting happened. People didn't just want to own our pieces. They wanted to make them.

That curiosity changed everything. We started to see Woobbi not just as a maker of objects, but as a creative space with an open door, and we expanded to match that calling. Today, Woobbi is a full creative studio. We still make handcrafted needle felt pieces, but we've grown into a destination for makers of all levels: wool felt DIY kits, premium materials, customizable bags and small goods, and a growing collection of embroidered patches designed to be mixed, matched, and made your own.

The thread connecting all of it is the same one we started with: the belief that making something yourself, even something small, is one of the most quietly powerful things a person can do.

You Are the Designer

Here's what we've come to understand about creativity: it doesn't belong to professionals. It just needs the right invitation.

That's what Woobbi is, at its heart. Our kits give you the foundation; your choices, your instincts, your hands make it yours. No two Woobbi creations are ever quite the same, because no two people are ever quite the same, and that's not a flaw in the process. That's the whole point. We design everything so that you become the designer, involved in the creative process from the very first poke of the needle to the finished piece sitting in your hands.

We're proud of where we started and excited about where we're going, still Austin, still handmade, still Woobbi.

Make something you love.

    Where is Woobbi based?

Woobbi is based in Austin, Texas. We started as a small local maker studio and have grown into an online creative studio shipping handmade goods and DIY kits nationwide and internationally.

    Are the materials eco-friendly?

Yes. Our primary material is natural wool, which is a renewable, biodegradable, and sustainable resource.
